When you think about luxury auto brand Mercedes-Benz, you probably conjure images of sleek vehicles, right? Well, that may change soon, as Mercedes-Benz Style recently debuted a brand new furniture collection through its partnership with Formitalia Luxury Group. The collection was showcased at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, Italy from April 17-22, 2012, and it certainly made quite an impression on all those in attendance.

A few blog posts back, we informed our readers that the Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class would soon be receiving some upgrades. Though we didn't have much information at that time, Motor Werks of Barrington, conveniently located at 1475 S. Barrington Road Barrington, IL 60010 can now share some more, as the 2013 version recently made its debut at this year's New York Auto Show. Overall, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class gets a new dash, a new diesel engine option, and a restyled front end this year.

Mercedes-Benz recently launched 2012 Academy Award viewers into a tizzy with its new Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Roadster advertisement. The new Mercedes-Benz SL-Class premiered at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show in January and is based on one of the sleekest, most iconic Mercedes-Benz vehicles ever built.

If you like lighter, faster, and more powerful then you have at least two things to like about the new Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG. It gets a 537-horsepower, 590-pound-foot version of the M571 twin-turbo V8 making the rounds in AMG vehicles, but that can be bumped to 564 hp and 664 lb-ft with the AMG Performance Package.

All of that thrust works on a car that is 125 kilograms lighter than the last generation, having lost 120 kg through the use of an aluminum bodyshell and another five kg with trunk formed of carbon fiber and plastic. The result is a zero to 100 kph run of 4.2 seconds with the extra juice, and onto 200 kph in 12.6 seconds.

Handling is sharpened with an evolution of the Active Body Control, three-state ESP a la the SLS AMG, as well as an optional AMG rear axle differential lock and AMG performance suspension.

Head past the jump for all the details on the matter and a video, and we've added a bunch more photos to our high-res gallery. We'll have even more to say about it when we see it at the Geneva Motor Show.

Mercedes-Benz is the Choice for Choosy Celebs

The Oscars took place this past week, and though we as viewers didn't see the types of cars celebrities arrived and left in, you might not be surprised to learn that most of them Mercedes-Benz vehicles. And, they weren't just any Mercedes-Benz vehicles, either. Choosy celebrities apparently choose the "greenest" models in the luxury auto manufacturer's current lineup- in other words, those models with BlueTEC clean diesel engines and hybrid vehicles.

Tons of Mercedes-Benz SUVs Grabbed by Lucky Drivers

Though German auto manufacturer Mercedes-Benz only began constructing what we think of today as SUVs since the 1990s, in that short period of time, the brand has risen to the top with its SUV sales.  In 201, Mercedes-Benz SUV sales rocketed 24 percent versus 2012 numbers. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, in particular, has been doing very well for itself for quite some time now. The fresh-faced Mercedes-Benz ML class also aided the brand on its rise to the top, but the Mercedes-R Class really lead the lineup this year, with sales increases of fifty percent.

Fashion-hungry enthusiasts find annual Fashion Week events to be like all of the rest of our traditional holidays rolled into one; there's nothing better for chic devotees than a mash-up of sequins, stick-thin models, and high-styled runways. This year, Mercedes-Benz will again be the head sponsor for the annual Fall Fashion Week at the LINCOLN Center in NYC. In connection with this sponsorship, the German luxury auto manufacturer will air special advertisements and also reach out to communities around New York City through support and educational initiatives. The show will feature both well-loved fashion names and new, trendy designers.

Mercedes-Benz and Ducati have shared a fruitful partnership over the past year, and to celebrate their anniversary, the luxury motorcycle group and the luxury automaker have teamed up to show off the most power Mercedes-Benz ever- the SLK 55 AMG model- in tandem with Ducati's lightweight Streetfighter 848.

Both the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG and Ducati Streetfighter 848 showcase bright yellow paint jobs. Inside, the SLK 55 AMG showcases luxurious nappa leather with complementary…

Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class Gets a Makeover

The Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class SUV may be the tiniest vehicle in the company's SUV lineup, but it has a ton of personality. Despite the fact that it's only been available here at Motor Werks of Barrington and other dealers around the country since 2008, we've gotten quite attached to the luxury compact. We were surprised to hear that Mercedes-Benz would be redesigning the 2012 GLK-Class.This dedication to continuing excellence and innovation is what makes Tri-Pointed Star so successful, isn't it? The company refuses to sit by idly, even as its models garner praise, because its people know that to keep consumers interested requires constant change.

Environmentally-friendly actions seem to be spotlighted by every major automobile company today, but can any of those other franchises claim what Mercedes-Benz can? The answer is no; Mercedes-Benz is the only automaker with more than a century of research in green technology. They built the world's first and constantly cleaner diesel engine. They had the first green luxury dealership in the world to be U.S. Green Building Council-certified... They launched the ML450 HYBRID, SUB S400 HYBRID Sedan, and a zero-emission fuel cell vehicle. And that's just the beginning of their work!
