It's no secret that the Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is very particular about which vehicles it gives the coveted Top Safety Pick rating. After all, the safety testing process is quite intense, and a vehicle must receive a top rating of "Good" in all categories to be named a Top Safety Pick. That's exactly what the 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class recently did when it was thoroughly tested by the IIHS. This is the first time the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has earned a the coveted title since its appearance on the market.
